ABOUT OLGA KONONYKHINA

I work on what happens before and after the model runs: how question design, data representation, system architecture and human in the loop determine whether AI classification actually works. My specialty is everything in the domain of LLM-based text classification: prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, and the measurement decisions that computer science focused teams skip but that make or break production systems. Currently finishing a PhD at LMU Munich\'s Social Science and AI Data Lab, focused on automatic occupational coding. What I bring:Data expertiseData quality rigorClear technical communicationStakeholder alignmentAI Governance/EthicsBefore that: 15+ years as a data scientist, researcher and consultant across three continents(Europe, Africa, USA), building indicators, evaluation and impact measurement frameworks, surveys, and analytics for international agencies, companies, foundations, governments, and NGOs. Currently exploring industry roles in AI evaluation, NLP, responsible AI, Data Science or product work and applied research where thinking about data and measurement matters.Outside work: Berlin life, houseplants, books, storytelling.
