ABOUT OMAR KHLAIWI

As a Computer Engineering student at Concordia University (CO-OP), I bring a multidisciplinary background in avionics, backend systems, and smart automation. Currently interning at Bombardier in the Avionics & Cabin Management Systems team, I’ve been immersed in projects that bridge complex aircraft systems (ATA 36, 44, 45) with streamlined technical solutions. From contributing to SmartFix troubleshooting content to optimizing PMAT flows and improving leak detection systems, I take pride in combining engineering precision with user-oriented thinking.Beyond my internship, I actively contribute to Concordia’s Rocketry Division, focusing on propulsion system design and aerodynamic stability testing, and lead software development at the UAV Concordia Club, where we’re advancing autonomous drone navigation systems. These roles have sharpened my ability to work across hardware and software layers, and strengthened my commitment to innovation and team collaboration.I thrive in challenging environments, whether it’s automating data migration via Power Platform or developing Firebase-integrated apps like School Bite, designed to help parents monitor school children’s diets. My experience spans not only technical implementation but also leadership, research, and sponsor relationship management.I’m passionate about aerospace, automation, and financial technology—and I\'m always looking for opportunities to build solutions that are practical, scalable, and impactful.
