Janet Odgis founded Odgis + Company in 1985, after receiving an M.F.A. from Yale University. Earlier, she had been a special projects designer at Random House, Knopf, and Vintage. She has art directed and designed in the advertising, pharmaceutical, and magazine sales promotion industries. Janet has taught classes for many years at Parsons School of Design and Cooper Union. Odgis’s work has received many honors, including the National Book Award as well as recognition by AIGA, the Art Directors Club, DESI, and Print Regional.

I am the founder of Odgis + Company, an award-winning, woman-owned brand design agency based in New York City. Odgis + Company differentiates your business in a crowded marketplace by making it clean, clear and dynamic.I established Odgis + Company in 1985 after receiving an MFA from Yale University. I began my career designing for Random House, Pantheon and Knopf, as well as various advertising and pharmaceutical firms. I have taught graphic design at Parsons, The New School for Design, and Cooper Union. I am a proud member of the Women’s Presidents Organization (WPO). My work has received many honors, including the National Book Award, and awards from AIGA, The Art Directors Club and Graphic Design USA. Odgis + Co. is a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). This certification affirms that our business is women-owned and operated.
