About Odette Nemes

I am a queer woman who migrated to the United States from Puerto Rico, and dedicated my career to addressing racial and gender inequities by building and managing programs that inspire people to be their best selves. I am proud to be Head of Growth at Onramp, I’m a part of the critical work of supporting women, Black and Latinx folx transition into tech. The Onramp team at all levels consists of people of color leading, growing and building the company. Our lived experience is the foundation of our intentional program design and proven work. Onramp apprentices are doing incredible work as data and software engineers at Vanguard, Amazon, Twitch, Coinbase and other great companies - 95% are converting to FTE. If your company is trying to figure out how to hire the top diverse early talent, please reach out.For over 12 years at Girls Inc, I collaborated with corporate partners to design and scale programs to get girls of color from Oakland and NYC interested in STEM careers. I leveraged my strategic leadership and relationship building skills to launch the first Girls Resource Center in Alameda County.
