ABOUT ODALYS BENITEZ
I want to work towards a thriving existence for all. By all, I truly mean everyone. From supporting the communities closest to me (my family, friends, network), to seeking justice for those facing exploitation in the Global South, to nourishing the vast mycelial networks that support the natural world, to you! Let’s work together to make this happen. I leverage my experiences from the technical world (as a robotics engineering student, robotics instructor, robotics intern, robotics engineer), and my experiences as a human (Latina, LA native, gardener, artist, activist, community member, and weaver, etc…) in all of my contributions and offerings. I continuously seek to expand my repertoire of skills, knowledge, and connections to understand how I can better support any issue at hand, and those around me. After being hit by tech layoffs in the robotics warehouse automation sector, I finally have the opportunity to align my income-producing work with my dreams of just-transition, food sovereignty, clean water & air for all, land back, architecture rooted in indigenous nature-based technologies, etc… So far, this journey has started with gaining a solid climate education foundation and training in my fellowship with Terra.do. Please reach out if anything resonates.
