About Obi Onyeacholem

With years of industry experience as a research associate and several years of laboratory experience I have worked on several projects associated with biomedical engineering and applications. I am currently working as a Development Engineer at Illumina. In this position I have worked on early development of manufacturing processes and consumable products that support our bead array and sequencing product lines. Some of my strengths include coordination and communication as a project team member among multiple groups, departments and with suppliers. I also have a range of technical skills that have allowed me to be a contributor for the qualification of suppliers, products, processes and materials. I have developed experimental planning, problem solving and analytic skills to complete my work. I have also gained project management experience by taking on leadership roles for supplier development and product development. Through my work I have become a valuable resource to help with the transitioning of early development projects or ideas to more robust and manufacturable projects.
