Technical lead and architect for the marketing suite department, advising and mentoring more junior engineers, acting as technical point of contact with other technical departments within the company - supporting ~15-20 engineers •Worked as the only developer owning high priority projects (generally in parallel with the work within the scrum team, but allocating time according to priorities) Took over implementation of a microservice responsible with storing business configuration for our customers. More than 50 internal production microservices or lambda functions are consuming the APIs, in addition to various services ingesting events from Kinesis streams. Tasked with reducing load on certain internal APIs, identified issues and tackled the ones with biggest ROI, leading to more than 50% reduction in load from our API calls, allowing the API owning team to improve SLAs and have breathing room in refactoring their APIs Implemented various convenience gems to facilitate easy eventing for any consuming app, subsequently consumed by all RoR apps that supported eventing • Architect and lead developer for a CRM microservice - acted as project manager as well and delivered on time under resource constraints; architected complex synchronization of the new service with legacy systems; advised and coordinated various projects aimed at loading and transforming legacy data in bulk, as well as real time data sync • Identified and solved performance issues that affected the stability of the system, identified and corrected long standing bugs, improved SQL query performance from > 10 seconds to ms etc. • Taking the initiative and solving in a timely manner issues that impacted customers (eg. resolved data staleness and unblocked functionality for ~300 customers; in the process reduced CPU by 60% and reduced memory consumption 5-fold) • Worked within an agile team mostly on backend Ruby on Rails, dabbled in some React front end work)
