Precinct Liaison Attorney-Supervisor•Advise the Seattle Police Department (SPD), the Mayor’s Office, and other City departments on issues related to encampments, liquor and marijuana licensing, nightlife, nuisance properties, and other neighborhood and community specific issues.•Provide real-time proactive legal advice for SPD officers, develop more efficient and effective responses to public safety problems, and improve communication among residents, prosecutors, police and other city departments involved in problem solving efforts. •Researched and advised the SPD, the Mayor’s Office, and City departments in creating procedures to address encampments during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the City implemented a cohesive plan that complied with the Center for Disease Control, the Governor’s Eviction Moratorium, and King County Public Health.•Train and advise City departments charged with the enforcement of regulatory activities involving nightlife businesses, marches, special events, and street use violations.•Defended the City against an emergency Temporary Restraining Order in the United States District Court, Western District of Washington. •Attend monthly meetings with community groups to address public safety concerns and noise complaints that could be best solved through neighborhood collaboration and partnership.
