About Nick Wimmer

With over 20 years of experience as a business leader and creative strategist, I have developed skills in the areas of strategic planning, team development, and brand creation and communication. I am passionate about helping companies and individuals mobilize their vision and connect with their target audience, reaching their desired end goals. I served as the Founder and Executive Director of Camp Canaan, a non-profit 501(c)(3) summer camp and retreat center, for over ten years. My consulting career has centered around organizational management, accelerated marketing, story branding, team strategy, system integrations, and project management. I have helped start, reboot, or grow over 40 businesses in my career. Currently I serve as the Creative Director for Comporium\'s Media Services and provide branding, digital marketing, and account management services to local businesses.I also enjoy coaching and consulting with businesses and influencers to share knowledge and resources about organizational development, leadership training, social psychology, IT/ marketing strategies, and the art of storytelling. In my \"off hours\" I love to fish, cook, tell stories around the fire, play pranks on my kids, and watch Hallmark movies with my wife;)

   Canaan is a unique camp and retreat center, located on a 100-acre island in the Catawba River, just outside of Charlotte, NC. Being the ex. director means doing whatever it takes to keep the ball moving and get the job done. With an amazing team of staff and volunteers and great leadership from the Board of Trustees, Canaan is becoming the most discovered secret in York County. Offering unique programs for camps, retreats and adventures in a beautiful setting, Canaan\'s state-of the-art facilities provide the perfect accommodations with a rustic flare.
