About Nwando Anwah

I am an associate at Dentons Sirote and a member of the Corporate practice group. My areas of practice include general corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. I earned my J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. While there, I received the Alabama Law Academic Excellence Scholarship. I also served as the Articles Editor for the Alabama Journal of the Legal Profession, the parliamentarian for the Black Law Students Association, a law school ambassador, and a member of the Student Faculty Hiring Committee. I received my B.A. in journalism from Auburn University. During my undergraduate years, I served as a student ambassador, the secretary and social chair for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, a reporter for Eagle Eye TV, and a member of the Black Student Union and Alpha Epsilon Delta Medical Society. My work experience includes interning for the United States Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division (Voting Section) in Washington, D.C, and being a student-attorney for the Domestic Violence Law Clinic in Tuscaloosa, AL. My passion remains helping people to breakthrough and take their lives to another level in the areas that matter most. Through the practice of law, I hope not only to create positive change in the world, but to inspire others to do so as well.
