ABOUT NUSRAT JABIN

Growing up in Bangladesh, I have witnessed firsthand the impact of economic disparity and environmental pollution on human health. These experiences have driven my passion for understanding the complex interplay of social, biological, and environmental risk factors affecting maternal and child health. With over six years of experience in the field, I have worked on randomized controlled trials, longitudinal cohort studies, and cross-sectional studies. My academic background, including a BSc in Public Health and an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine from the University of Oxford, has equipped me with strong analytical skills and robust project management capabilities. As a Research Analyst at the University of Southern California, I lead data management and analysis for the Bangladesh Cook Stove Pregnancy Cohort Study, focusing on environmental exposures and maternal-child health outcomes. My role involves handling large datasets and employing advanced statistical modeling techniques, resulting in valuable insights and multiple peer-reviewed publications.I have also contributed to significant projects with the Kenya Paediatric Research Consortium and the UK Collaborative on Development Research, managing large datasets, conducting advanced statistical analyses, and producing reports that inform health policies. My experience and education have instilled in me a dedication to leveraging my skills in epidemiology and research to drive impactful health interventions and improve outcomes for vulnerable populations.
