ABOUT NURGUL YARDIM MERICLILER
Nurgul\'s interdisciplinary research explores the intersections of architectural space, community dynamics, urban design, and communications, with a particular focus on makerspaces; an area she examined in depth in her PhD thesis \'An Interdisciplinary Perspective Towards Makerspaces: 5 Cases from London\'. Alongside academia, Nurgul offers creative direction and communication strategies to global organisations and practices within the built environment. She also hosts the Anylabtalks podcast, in which she has conducted over fifty in-person interviews with architects, designers, academics, and creatives worldwide, contributing to the ongoing dialogue within the architectural community. Before relocating to London, UK, Nurgul spent nearly eight years in Istanbul, Turkey, where she worked as an architectural designer and communications lead at leading international architecture firms.
