ABOUT NUR KHAN

In my most recent role as the Managing Director and Head of Securitization Finance Canada at RBC Capital Markets, I led a market-leading business that provided innovative financing solutions to clients across various sectors and asset classes. I have almost 30 years of experience in international structured finance markets, including with J.P. Morgan and Lehman Brothers in Europe.My experience includes:• establishing and implementing business strategy, • building senior level relationships, • hiring and developing team members, • managing all aspects of a complex, regulated asset-backed financing business, • originating and structuring strategically important financings, and • managing a large ($10 billion+) structured credit risk position. Over my career I have also:• originated and led over 130 asset-backed securities (ABS) transactions across multiple asset classes (auto, consumer loan, credit card, equipment, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs) in Canada, the UK and South Africa, and• completed significant risk transfer (SRT) trades with a notional value of $20 billion with residential mortgages as underlying collateral.I have a proven track record of delivering high performance (RBC has been #1 in the Canadian ABS league tables for the past 13 years and 17 out of the past 20 years) and profitability (increased RBC’s Canadian securitization revenue by 5x), while maintaining a strong risk culture and client focus. I am passionate about driving growth, and teaching and mentoring junior colleagues. I am a dual Canadian and British citizen.
