About Nuno Andrade
Hey there! I’m Nuno Andrade, a sophomore at the University of Michigan, majoring in Computer Science. Outside of class, I’ve been busy co-founding not one but two organizations: BIPOC Builders, where we connect and empower underrepresented students in tech and business, and Studio 605, a creative space dedicated to fashion, photography, and culture on campus. Both have taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, collaboration, and making big ideas a reality—whether it’s hosting events or dreaming up something completely new.I’m currently seeking software engineering internships, and I’m especially drawn to machine learning and full-stack development—though I’m open to exploring any opportunity where I can sharpen my coding skills, contribute meaningfully, and learn from professionals.

I’m currently a Software Engineering Intern at Amazon in East Palo Alto, CA, where I’m working on the development of a new and innovative feature for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Relational Database Services team. In this role, I’m gaining hands-on experience engineering end-to-end scalable solutions that address real-world customer needs. I\'m learning to work backwards from a customer problem to a thoughtful, production-ready solution, while deepening my understanding of cloud infrastructure and large-scale backend systems. This experience is also strengthening my skills in Java, Python, and C++, and giving me exposure to the complexities of cloud-native development at one of the world’s leading tech companies.
