About Nujoud Merancy

Ms. Merancy is a systems engineer with extensive background in human spaceflight and spacecraft at NASA. She is currently the Deputy AssociateAdministrator for Strategy & Architecture in the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate. She serves as the Agency expert in exploration architectures, guiding technical aspects of agency decisions regarding exploration element-level performance and functionality that will have decades-long implications on Agency goals and international and commercial partnerships. Her work experience includes space mission design and analysis, systems integration, test and verification, vehicle performance analysis, guidance, navigation, & control, requirements engineering, and real-time operations spanning both the International Space Station Program from 2002 to 2008, MPCV-Orion Program from 2009 until 2018, Exploration Systems Division from 2018 to 2019, and Chief of the NASA JSC Exploration Mission Planning Office from 2019 to 2022.Specialties: mission planning, integrated performance analysis, systems integration, spacecraft design, mission operations, anomaly resolution
