About Nathan Edwards

I currently serve as the Economic Development Administrator for Harrison Township in Montgomery County, Ohio. In this role, I help lead economic development strategy and community investment efforts while continuing to serve as the township’s spokesman. My work builds on recent economic momentum and focuses on strengthening neighborhoods, supporting businesses, and positioning the township for long-term growth through strong partnerships and cross-department collaboration.Since joining the township, I have helped establish a new, unified brand for Harrison Township, including the launch of a new logo, brand standards, and a redesigned website. I also lead public-facing communications and digital engagement, contributing to significant growth in the township’s social media presence and strengthening how the community connects with its local government.Prior to local government, I spent more than a decade in broadcast journalism. My work earned one National Edward R. Murrow Award, four Regional Murrow Awards, and an Emmy, recognizing storytelling that connected people to their community and region.I hold a B.A. in Journalism from Kent State University and am currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Wright State University, further strengthening my foundation in public-sector leadership, policy, and organizational management.
