About Nathan Smith

I was recently elected as the Student Body President at Kent State University, now leading their Undergraduate Student Government. My focus this upcoming year is to U.N.I.F.Y.(Understanding need innovation, fairness, and YOUR voice) campus through collaboration with student organizations and KSU student services. I also serve as an Ambassador for the Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Through this role I meet with the dean’s advisory board, welcome new students to the college and university, give prospective families tours, and make the overall atmosphere of the college more inviting to all. In addition, I am a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Chapter at my university and have the role of Inter-fraternity Council Representative. Through this brotherhood I have connected with Greek Life members inside and outside of my fraternity nd was part of fundraising over for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Through my two years at Kent State I have also been the President of the Business Professionals Roundtable (focused on professional development for students) and the Sales Club (teaching students sales skills and getting them connected with industry professionals). In addition, I have been a member of the Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization (focused on developing student entrepreneurs) and the American Marketing Association (a national organization at various universities teaching students real life marketing skills). My future goals are to work in corporate banking, own my own business(es), and be involved in politics.
