ABOUT NEWMAN SCOTT HUNTER

I work with organizations to help empower and transform their business through technology combined with team building and collaboration. My specialty is in helping teams evolve solutions that deliver value by executing against identified objectives and being able to report that success through metrics and KPIs. I\'m passionate about helping to grow engineers and teams that focus on quality, collaboration, and define success through delivery, adaptability, and how we empower our partners.I love new challenges and the opportunity to make an impact. I\'ve been fortunate to tackle challenges as part of amazing teams in roles from individual contributor through leader and product owner of 60+ person organizations spread across multiple time zones. From Data Engineering and Workflow Optimization, through Web Services and Game Development, I love being part of organizations that have a desire to push forward and grow.From these opportunities, I\'ve learned the following things about myself- I would rather be an ally than a hero. The success of my team and the organization is more important to me than my own personal advancement. I love winning, but as a team- I love using technology to solve problems and deliver impact. Regardless if it is cutting edge or decades old, solutions should deliver value above all else- I\'m passionate about helping others grow. I am fortunate to have mentored engineers, who have evolved into leaders on their own, and have gone on to do amazing things. I take pride in being a small part of their journey- I believe the best ideas come from collaboration. I have opinions and ideas, but the best innovation comes from building on ideas that grow within a community, through shared experience and collective knowledge.I can contribute to projects large and small, as a direct manager or indirect technical leader / product owner- I get a thrill out of delivering projects that exceed expectations, and I love it when teams feel the impact of their work- I love working with people across the organization, from new grads through senior exec leaders, working to align projects and find new opportunities to make a difference- I love being able to tell the narrative of impact and success, my own and those of those I work with. Even better, I love when that story grows by engaging more folks on that journey.I love meeting folks and geeking out about tech, life, improv, boxing, and if you\'ve got an awesome bread recipe, I\'d love to try it.
