About Nicole Horton

I am a seasoned professional who has spent most my career in consulting and advisory services, with a strong focus on transactions and restructuring projects. My experience working in rapidly changing, high-stress and crisis environments as well as for a wide number of clients has prepared me to adapt and thrive in a variety of situations and in different company cultures.As a senior executive, I was responsible for leading teams ranging in size from as few as 2 to diverse teams with as many as 100, learning to address the challenges that arise from both ends of that spectrum. I feel a great deal of responsibility for helping my team develop and progress in their careers and enjoy my role as a mentor, having received formal and informal recognition for my efforts. During my consulting career, I generated significant revenue opportunities and built long-standing relationships with both my clients and my colleagues; many of my projects were with repeat clients. In some cases, I was responsible for helping to build new services, requiring co-operation and collaboration across a large number of teams and across borders, not always an easy task in a global professional services firm! I received a number of awards as both a leader of and team member for those market campaign efforts.With a focus on restructuring, strategy, and transaction projects, I have built a broad base of skills suitable for a range of roles such as consulting or advisory services, corporate development, corporate strategy, managing distressed debt portfolios or special situations/loan workouts. My background includes- financial and operational restructurings- building or assessing strategies and business plans- developing financial forecasts and plans of reorganization- providing various transaction-related services for acquisitions, divestitures, and wind-downs; and- running healthy and distressed mergers & acquisition activities as an investment banker.
