   As the founding Executive Director of the Polk County Chapter of Safe Moves for Seniors, I lead a local initiative helping vulnerable older adults move to safer housing—completely free of charge.We serve Polk County seniors age 60+ who live on very limited income, have no assets, and no family support. With help from volunteers, community partners, and my professional team at Organized Haven, I coordinate each relocation with compassion, professionalism, and dignity.Key Highlights: Secured a Mini-Grant from the Senior Connection Center to launch the Polk County chapter in 2024. Plan and execute urgent, life-changing moves, including:Tina’s emergency relocation: Evicted while beginning chemotherapy, Tina needed a compassionate plan to preserve her belongings and move into temporary housing with a friend. We stepped in to move her items into storage and help her safely transition to her next chapter.Karen’s move out of unsafe housing: Karen was living alone in a home that was deteriorating around her. After her car was stolen and her living conditions became unbearable, we quickly arranged and completed her move to a clean, affordable apartment—restoring her peace of mind.🧭 Handle all logistics from intake to packing, transport, and follow-up. Build strong referral relationships with senior-serving organizations and professionals. Promote awareness through community storytelling and outreach.As a Certified Senior Move Manager®, Certified Professional Organizer®, and Senior Home Coach™, I bring over a decade of experience to each case.
