ABOUT TOMER NOYHOUZER

I am a curious and energetic person that is always looking for new challenges and new scientific puzzles to solve. When I find something that triggers my curiosity I will try to get involved because I believe that there are a great learning opportunity and an adventure with every new thing that you do. Scientific research: I have a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University in the field of Electrochemical sensing and I have completed my post-doctorate fellowship at McGill University focusing on microfluidics design, environmental and corrosion investigation. Entrepreneurship: I am always looking for ways to improve current technology and the way we do things. I co-founded E-Innovation, a McGill spin-off that aims to improve pollutants detection methods. Viveau was another company I co-founded based on my research and its vision is to deliver safe drinking water to everyone. Currently, I am working as a scientific consultant where I try to use my experience and add as much value as possible for my clients. Leadership: I always tried to be in an influential position. I was the VP of finance at the Association of Post-doctorate Fellows and a member of the McGill Senate council. I am an executive member at LinkedIn Local Ottawa and ScienceAbroad Industrial Program. Mentoring: I enjoy teaching and always try to share my knowledge and experience when possible. During my Ph.D. I mentored a high-school student, that later participated in the Chemistry Olympics and won the Israel Chemistry Society Award. At McGill, I have mentored Cégep students both were accepted to Medical-school. I also served as a mentor for “the Women’s History project” a social venture that reached the McGill Dobson Cup finals. Community Volunteering: I strongly believe in the idea of giving back. Wherever I lived, Jerusalem, Montreal, or Ottawa I always looked for opportunities to volunteer and contribute my time and experience.
