WORK HISTORY
Artistic Director and Chief Curator @Lassonde Art Trail
Toronto, ON, CA
The Lassonde Art Trail Foundation (LAT) is a new non-profit foundation and public art program planned for Toronto’s future Villiers Island on Lake Ontario. In June 2022 a visionary $25 million donation from the Pierre Lassonde Family Foundation was committed to commission two landmark permanent art works, and to establish a new non-profit organization to manage the art trail, with the intention of raising additional matching funds to sustain the organization over the long term. The art trail will be located in a public park along a renaturalized river mouth - a free, open-air route operated and curated by myself and Chloe Catan in the position of Executive Director. A rotating cycle of contemporary installations from local, national and international artists will be featured alongside the anchor commissions, all set to launch in several years once the park is complete.
