ABOUT NOUR ALI

I am an experienced communications, policy, and advocacy expert with nearly ten years of work on campaigns, non-profits, the Hill, and governmental agencies. I believe that strong communications strategies build an organization and allow it to succeed. I am a firm believer in the power of storytelling and it\'s ability to reach people. I am skilled in press relations with a focus on speechwriting, talking points, memos, and policy briefings. At the Department of Labor, I work closely with the Assistant Secretary to comprehensively speak to the American people on the important work done at the Department. At Emgage, I worked on increasing the presence of the organization via e-blasts, newsletters, and social media coverage. In August 2024, I was tasked with covering the Democratic National Convention for the organization in Chicago. While at CAIR-MI, I effectively conducted cultural sensitivity trainings, Know Your Rights forums, and maintained relationships with local and state officials in Michigan. I was able to hone on my advocacy skills and learn how to constructively fight for the underrepresented. Alongside my advocacy work, I managed all social media platforms and produced press releases, infographics, and bilingual content. As I look for new roles, I am interested in political consulting, press for a nonprofit/government agency, and policy associate positions.
