ABOUT ANNA PEKARSKA

I work in IT since 2011. I have experience in building software from scratch, integrating it with existing systems, supporting legacy code and migrating it to newer and more robust solutions. I’ve mostly worked with backend part of applications (REST web services, interactions with DBs and filesystem, data processing) with occasional frontend work, hence I have some skills in JavaScript, HTML and CSS as well. And I always welcome sporadic context switch to configuration of complementary tools and services, deployment pipelines, etc.Before I decided to turn my focus to broadening my technical expertise and becoming a developer, I have worked as a team/technical leader of a test automation team. That experience secured quality as my all-time highest priority. I had to give up incredibly fulfilling role of a mentor and team representative, which I miss a lot, though at its time it was a necessary trade-off to pursue my desire to create and build things. Being experienced and disciplined, I can work separately from others, yet I feel the most comfortable as a part of a team, providing assistance to teammates, sharing knowledge and learning from experts. I value and respect processes established in a company, because they bring order and reliability. In the meantime, I never hesitate to share my thoughts when I see a way for improvement.I am persistent, resourceful, honest and considerate. I value efficiency and effectiveness, and I’m looking for a project I will be passionate about.My native languages are Russian and Ukrainian, I’m fluent in English, and have some basic knowledge of Polish, French, and Dutch.
