ABOUT NORY DIANNE MIANO

I am a multi-jurisdictional lawyer, admitted to practice law in the United States (Washington, D.C. and Alabama) and the Philippines. In my current role with the United States Department of Treasury, I serve as a General Attorney (Tax) under the Litigation and Advisory Division of the Internal Revenue Service - Office of Chief Counsel.I have a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center with a Certificate in International Taxation and Certificate in Legal English.I worked for almost 8 years in the Tax Advisory Services Group of Reyes Tacandong & Co.(RSM Philippines). I also had experience working at the General Legal Division, Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations Headquarters Office. I then joined The World Bank Group as a Consultant of the International Finance Corporation\'s International Tax Unit. Prior to joining the U.S. Department of Treasury, I worked at the global headquarters of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. as an International Senior Tax Analyst.I am currently a member of the American Bar Association (ABA)- Alabama State Bar and District of Columbia Bar and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences, Major in Behavioral Studies from the University of the Philippines Manila where I graduated as a Cum Laude. I earned my Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University – School of Law in 2010.
