This can backfire, forcing users to fight against the software and revert to manual processes, negating any efficiency gains. The physical world is inherently unpredictable; concrete cracks, deliveries are delayed. Operations software must embrace this reality. Flexibility is paramount. The \"unhappy path\" should be as smooth as the \"happy path.\" Modularity, clear functional roles, and dynamic planning are essential. Expert users should control outcomes through adjusting settings, not by hand editing system output. Ultimately, flexible software is efficient software.Customer Tools: Successful user interfaces are both intuitive and efficient. First-time users should grasp functionality effortlessly. Experienced users should be empowered to perform tasks with minimal friction. That extra button click might seem trivial initially, but it becomes a major pain point over time. Balancing initial ease of use with long-term efficiency is the key to creating truly exceptional customer tools.
