ABOUT ADAM KELLY MORTON

Adam\'s current work includes -Teacher/Founder at Montreal-based acting school, I.O. Acting & Creative Studio -Freelance Writer -Former Editor-in-Chief (The Bloody Key Society Periodical)-Writing/Directing with production company Ack No Ledge Films -Editing first novel and writing comedy pilot,\"Shitdad\" Adam was born—and lives— in NDG, Montreal. He completed a B.Sc Biology (\'95) and a B.FA in Theatre Performance and English Lit. from Concordia University,\'99. After finishing his M.FA in Acting at York University in \'01, his play \"The Anorak\" debuted in Toronto in 2002 at York University. In 2007 the play won the Montreal English Critic\'s Circle Award (MECCA) for Best Script, also Best Actor and Best Production nominations. Adam performed \"The Anorak\" in French on the 20th anniversary of the massacre, at l\'Université de Montréal, December 6, 2009. The play has since been produced in Quebec City (in French) and in London, UK. In 20••••07, Adam was Script Consultant and collaborated on the screenplay for Denis Villeneuve\'s feature film \"Polytechnique\". As a teacher, Adam has over ten years of experience. At the university level he taught undergraduate acting at York. He was a professor of acting and acting-related classes at Dawson College, Montreal. He has taught high school English and Drama at Trafalgar School for Girls, John Rennie High School and the Cartier Adult Education Centre. He runs I.O. Acting Studio in Montreal. As a film-maker, Adam was the showrunner and lead actor for \"Montreal Hearts\", a comedy series by Gung Horse Productions. His short films have appeared in Canadian and US festivals, including SoHo NYC, Rome, and Rochester International film festivals. He has been published in Open Pen London, The Danforth Review, Talking Soup, Untethered, Transition Magazine, Menda City Review, and Urban Graffiti, among others.
