About Norman Gill
My passion to build, organize and optimize Learning and Talent Management systems. With 20 plus years of experience in the e-learning and talent development space, my core strengths are in information management and system architecture. I love the rigors of optimizing and aligning systems to support business and organizational objectives. As the ELearning Manager and LMS Administrator for the Ann & Robert H Lurie Children\'s Hospital of Chicago my responsibilities center on system and data architecture, as well as system integration. I have served the better part of my career building Learning Ecosystems. From process development, to content creation, and content integration with LMSs, I have overseen all aspects of eLearning process. Utilizing the strategy of building out robust data profiles at Lurie Children’s our team leveraged the automation capabilities of our Cornerstone OnDemand system to be force multiplier, delivering more training with less administrative effort. This strategy allowed us to distribute the system administrative load freeing up administrators to devote efforts into system growth and organizational alignment. In the fall of 2016 we embarked on a Hospital-wide Career Development program this was one of many fruits from our distributed model of LMS administration. Integrating our Cornerstone LMS with IBM Kenexa Competency Library our team built what would be the foundation of our Lurie Children’s Career Development program. In addition to the IBM Competency Library we configured and enabled an electronic resume, an extensive CyberU content library and integrated with the getAbstract library. It was exciting and fulfilling to enable an organization to transition beyond just mandatory education and compliance to an educational career focus organization.
