Support the senior accountant and AP in managing accounts across multiple companies and currencies, including executing journal entries.• Prepare accounts payable reports, including aging summaries, weekly cash flow forecasts and weekly payment proposals, to management.• Manage the online invoice submission system to ensure timely approval by department managers.• Maintain and regularly update the vendor master list in SAP to ensure accurate and complete records.• Process weekly payments through various channels, including EFT/ACH, wires, cheques, and credit cards, while ensuring security and accuracy.• Oversee weekly employee expense reimbursements via Travex.• Record and validate coding and journal entries for credit card transactions and invoices using SAP/GLSU.• Complete the full purchases, payables, and payments cycle, including bookkeeping of vendor invoices and credit card reconciliations.• Ensure invoices and payments include proper authorization and account coding.• Monitor and manage all credits in accounts payable to ensure timely application and accurate reporting.• Investigate and resolve vendor issues, including those placed on payment hold, ensuring timely communication and resolution.• Reconcile vendor statements to accounts payable records and follow up where discrepancies arise.• Assist with treasury management and related bank ledger entries.• Execute month-end tasks and reconciliation in accordance with the financial close schedule.• Identify and recommend improvements to streamline AP processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce risk.• Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate payment policies across all AP processes.• Maintain a wide variety of financial records and files to ensure documentation availability and compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.• Support the finance team in compiling audit requests related to invoices, payments, and other accounts payable activities.
