About Noresh Varman
As a computational designer and mechanical engineer at Stantec, I apply my skills and knowledge in building energy modeling, building performance simulation, and computational design to create custom solutions for various projects. I collaborate with the digital practice team to connect data with design applications and support the integration of emerging technologies and design workflows.I am also a PhD candidate in the Building Science and Engineering Group at Drexel University, where I conduct research on machine learning applications in building simulations and control strategies, under the supervision of Dr. Jin Wen. I am currently working on an NSF-funded project called i-Hear, which aims to develop an immersive human-on-the-loop environmental adaptation system for stress reduction. I have a strong interest in energy analysis, IEQ and occupant comfort analysis, occupant-centric control, and design optimization research.
