Founder, Chief Science Officer and CEO of Starlight Biotech (https://strltbt.com). Molecular biologist & bioinformatician with master\'s degrees, nearly a PhD in neuroscience. Passionate about: longevity, the gut microbiome, molecular, cell & developmental biology, neuroscience, regeneration, Alzheimer\'s research, bioinformatics, computational biology, stem cell research, astrophysics, quantum mechanics, cosmology & AI. Education: MA in biology (molecular, cell & developmental biology), Professional Science Master\'s degree in bioinformatics, BS in biology, nearly a Ph.D. in neuroscience (55 credits out of 60. Nearly earned a BA/MA in English Philology from Germany (MA program, considered to be a joint BA/MA program in Germany; focus on linguistics, discourse analysis & intercultural communication; minored in botany and zoology - completed all credits required for botany and zoology, nearly all for English). Lived in Germany in my twenties—I am half German. Experience: Founder & Chief Science Officer of Starlight Biotech. Also freelancing as a German to English translator. Certified by American Translator\'s Association for German to English translation (specialize in science & literary translation). Recently translated 17 German novels, including a science fiction novel (\"Clouds of Venus\" by Brandon Q. Morris). From 2018 to \'23, founder of TreasureTrove Bioinformatics, a bioinformatics consulting agency. Worked as science writer: in 2022 & \'23 for Genofax, in \'23 for My EU Consulting, in \'22 for Mount Desert Island Biological Lab. In the past, worked as a high school earth science & general science teacher (conditional license to teach high school biology). Have also worked as science editor, and as editor (and proofreader) of texts translated from German to English. In addition, worked as English, earth science, biology, math, German and bioinformatics tutor, Library Technical Assistant & secretary. Published sci-fi author (\"Maitreya\'s Decision\"), at present working on a science fiction novel (\"The Enigma of the Xymerian Artifact. Subtitle: The Chrononaut Project\").
