ABOUT NORAH EDDY

I am a mission-driven leader who has dedicated my career to protecting wild places and natural resources. As a marine conservation professional and entrepreneur, I\'m passionate about advancing science-based ocean conservation through bold and innovative approaches. In 2014, I co-founded a company to challenge the status quo in the seafood industry, proving that profitability and ocean health can go hand in hand. As head of sales and strategy, I grew the brand into an internationally recognized industry disruptor, earning acclaim for its innovative approach to sustainable seafood. At The Nature Conservancy, I lead our California Oceans Program\'s recently expanded Ocean Recovery Strategy -leveraging my science and entrepreneurial backgrounds and bringing together a diverse group of leading scientists, managers, conservationists, funders, and stakeholders to develop creative solutions to manage, protect, and restore California\'s nearshore ecosystems. I lead a high-performing interdisciplinary team to develop strategies to protect and restore threatened ecosystems in California, with an aim for providing tools and approaches that extend lessons learned to marine conservation more broadly. Much of my work is focused on strategy and organizational development, defining ambitious conservation goals and building the strategic relationships and work plans to achieve those goals.
