ABOUT NORA SEGURA-BARPAL
Nora Segura-Barpal earned a Bachelor of Music in performance from CU Boulder and a Master of Arts in Performing Arts Administration from New York University. She is currently the Director of Major Gifts & Annual Giving at Ronald McDonald House Bay Area. Previously, she was a Major Gift Officer for the San Francisco Symphony where she successfully cultivated a diverse portfolio and led a multi-year giving strategy among her donors. In 2020 she co-founded the Music Inclusion Coalition-focused on making music education equitable-where she\'s created partnerships and nurtured community with over 35 universities. She has led 3 national conferences on equity & inclusion in collegiate music programs with cohorts including Yale College of Music, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Colburn Conservatory, The Juilliard School, and more. Her personal mission is to facilitate quality art that brings awareness and change to issues of social injustice-such as inequity and systematic oppression-especially art that empowers minority groups that face these challenges and brings about positive change.
