The Director of Professional Education strategizes, innovates and builds the education pillar of the CAS. They will oversee the continued quality and relevance of existing educational offerings, the creation of new offerings, meeting the needs of our members, professionals working adjacent to actuaries, and those who employ them.The Director of Professional Education provides strategic direction and input to ensure alignment with the CAS Strategic Plan, and collaborates with volunteer committees, senior management, and cross-functional CAS teams (in particular IT, Finance and Meeting Services), to align strategy, content development with technical capabilities, resources and compliance requirements. Furthermore, the incumbent provides direct supervision and leadership to the Professional Education department staff and oversees vendor management.
