ABOUT NOOSHIN FALAKNAZ
Geotechnical engineer with more than 20 years experience dealt with over 15 geotechnical projects (Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, South America and Canada) in civil and mining industries.I possess a hands-on experience in design and construction of Large Caverns, tunnels, shafts, rock slopes, foundations, tailing dams, pipelines, retaining walls, and mining stopes- Supervising and monitoring contractors and field staff- Site investigation and determination of site characterization- Core logging- Sampling rock (soil) for geotechnical laboratory tests- Supervision of support installation in tunnels and surface excavations and slopes- Performing/monitoring and supervising laboratory and in situ tests on soil and rock samples- Giving daily talks to field staff and performing weekly/monthly QA/QC inspections- Writing technical reports, GBR, specifications and proposal - Interpretation results of drilling and exploration programs - Rock and soil classification- Determination of rock and soil parameters- Design of shallow and deep foundations, tunnels and underground openings in hard to soft ground- Slope stability assessment considering static and dynamic loads- Stability analyses and design of short to long Tunnels, caverns, piles, retaining structures, and tailing dams under static and dynamic loads- Support system design of shafts, tunnels, foundations, large surface and underground excavations- Seepage analysis- Rehabilitation of soft to hard ground using grouting- Experienced in Mine back filling, design of mining stopes, and ground control - Soil nail design and retaining wall analyses- Design of monitoring system- Well-experienced in numerical modeling using FLAC2D-3D, Geostudio, RocScience software, Office, Microsoft project- Liaised with domestic and international clients and Contractors by attending weekly and monthly meeting- Cost estimation, tender documents preparation, project progress report, managment deliverables, budget and staff
