ABOUT NOOR STENFERT KROESE

Noor Stenfert Kroese is a media artist and researcher exploring biomediated interactions between humans, living organisms, and robotics. Her artistic practice is closely connected with her phd research at Creative Robotics, focusing on data storytelling through living systems, fungi-inspired biocomputing, and (non-)human interaction with industrial robotics.She works as a senior lecturer in the Master’s program Art & Science at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (dieAngewandte) and teaches at the art university in Linz. With a background in performance art, scenography, and mycology, she develops sensor-based methods with living organisms within bio arts and biofabrication, exploring how meaningful interactions can emerge across biological and technological systems.Noor\'s work has been exhibited and performed at various venues and festivals, including the Ars Electronica Festival (AT), Festival X (UAE), ISEA (FR), Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts(TW) and Theater Rotterdam (NL). She has received several recognitions for her work, such as an Honorary Mention from Prix Ars Electronica(AT), YouFab Global Creative Award (JP), and the New Media Architecture Biennale Award (CA).
