ABOUT NONNA SHAKHOVA

Over the past decade, I’ve evolved from a hands-on data practitioner into a strategic architect focused on building scalable, reliable, and high-quality data ecosystems. I see data design as more than modelling, it’s about creating trust through structure, governance, and validation built directly into the system.I approach data engineering as both a craft and a framework for clarity: every model, transformation, and dependency should make the data landscape more predictable, transparent, and resilient. My focus is on embedding data quality by design through testing, lineage, and observability, so that teams can build confidently on consistent, trusted foundations.I believe mature engineering cultures are driven by reproducibility, standardisation, and accountability, principles that balance autonomy with integrity. As a Women Coding Community leader, I extend this mindset to people development, helping others grow their technical voice and leadership confidence.Today, my goal is to design data ecosystems where quality is intentional, scalability is structural, and trust is measurable, enabling both people and data to perform at their best.
