About Nona Kiknadze

I am a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. student at the University of Miami conducting theoretical and empirical research on the relationship between culture and flourishing. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies with a focus on Chinese language from Duke University. I have experience working with both children and adults as a clinical practitioner and group therapy facilitator. In addition to my academic work, I am a registered yoga instructor and mindfulness practitioner who recognizes the importance of integrating mind-body practices into well-being. My passion lies in expanding access to comprehensive mental health services for marginalized communities, and I have experience conducting research in diverse domestic and international settings. I also speak Mandarin and hold a TS-SCI clearance, and I consult as a U.S. government geopolitical analyst for the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on China.
