Provide leadership and technical expertise to the Asset Integrity and Gas Treating RD & E Team. Primarilyresponsible for leading the team’s technical effort, utilizing experiences in laboratory and field work, project management, and people management. Ensure alignment with ChampionX’s business strategy by working to achieve group and individual goals.Ensure that all the operations of the section are carried out in a safety orientated environment. Develop strategy with team leaders and staff for large, technically complex projects. Supervise/coordinate, train, develop, motivate and give technical guidance to members of the Canadian RD & E Group. Technically lead necessary work for at-risk customers during crisis situations. Lead the development and improvement of product-line chemistries and manufacturing processes. Plan, prepare and administer the annual budget by integrating Technology, RD & E, group and individual goals. Serve as a senior technical advisor on sales calls. Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify needs and gaps in the Asset Integrity product line and dependent market segments. Project management duties which include assessing and approving project requests, ensuring timely completion of projects, project portfolio reviews, and following up on feedback. Apply performance management guidelines for setting performance goals, evaluating and promoting career growth and development, conducting performance appraisals, and recommending salary and performance adjustments for direct and indirect reports.
