About Nolan Abram

Hello, my name is Nolan Abram! I am a senior at Penn State studying Cybersecurity, with a focus in Geopolitics, in the College of Information Sciences and Technology. On campus, I am involved with Penn State\'s THON as a student volunteer and my co-ed business fraternity, Phi Beta Lambda, where I have gained professional, social, and leadership skills. During my time in the organization, I have served as the organization\'s Webmaster and as a member on the executive board as the Director of Brotherhood Engagement. This year, I will be acting as the Family Relations THON chair for my business fraternity, bringing together both of my major involvements.Through these involvements, I was able to obtain an internship with Guardian Life Insurance on the Enterprise Operations Team last summer. There, I collected and analyzed data on servers and worked with the automation team to implement the automation of ticket processes. This past summer I worked for a health tech company, HealthEdge, where I gained hands on experience with applications like ServiceNow and AppDynamics. Through this experience I learned more about the healthcare industry and analyzed its data in collaboration with SQL and Linux to improve data monitoring and issue resolution. Since I was young, I have always loved working with computers, and when I came to Penn State, I knew Cybersecurity was the path for me. Outside of school, I like teaching myself new things, I love going to the gym, and I am a big philly sports fan!
