ABOUT NOHEMI VELA GUEVARA
Passionate about expanding our knowledge in the field of neuroscience, particularly at the molecular level. With additional interests in genetics, epigenetics, and biochemistry, Nohemi aspires to explore the mechanisms behind factors inducing aberrant activity leading to cases such as neurodegeneration and neurodivergance. Her goal is to take this knowledge and through this bottom-up approach, help improve methods of treatment pharmacologically, through natural methods of endogenous regeneration, and through neurotechnology. Nohemi strives to utilize various findings on a larger scale to improve public policy and various societal systems (especially the education system) to make this world a better fit for our beautiful diverse brains. Equality rather than equity in a cognitive sense has been normalized in many of our systems and is affecting people on a larger scale than one might expect. Nohemi hopes to take major action in this realm.
