ABOUT NOHAD KORDAB

Hi! I’m a first-gen finance student at Cal State Fullerton with Middle Eastern roots, trying to break into the world of finance with curiosity, grit, and a love for solving complex problems. Right now, I’m the Chief Risk Officer for our Student Managed Investment Fund, where I track portfolio performance, manage volatility, and conduct stress testing and scenario analysis. I’ve also interned at Amazon, where I led a safety and efficiency project that challenged me to think on my feet and listen to the people closest to the work. And through a U.S. Bank micro-internship with CLAOC, I explored how Gen Z is reshaping the future of digital banking. What I enjoy most is connecting data to real-world outcomes, whether that’s assessing market risk, calculating expected loss and exposure at default, or modeling VaR to quantify downside. I’m passionate about risk management, consulting, and equity research, and I’m actively looking for opportunities where I can keep learning, contribute meaningfully, and be part of a team that’s building something great.
