About Noha M. Osman

As an Associate Data Scientist specializing in sarcoma research at MD Anderson, I leverage multi-omics data and clinical trial insights to unravel the complex mechanisms driving sarcoma progression. By integrating advanced analytics with diverse molecular datasets, I work to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets in this challenging cancer type. My research focuses on translating large-scale biological data into actionable clinical insights, contributing to the development of more effective, personalized treatment strategies for sarcoma patients.Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Associate specializing in cancer biology at Baylor College of Medicine. With a strong background in computational biology and bioinformatics, I led research projects as a bioinformatician, applying advanced data analysis techniques to gain insights into cancer genomics. Additionally, I was skilled in designing and conducting diverse laboratory experiments to investigate cancer mechanisms. As a former Postdoctoral Fellow in the Computational Systems Biology Group at Louisiana State University, I focused on applying cutting-edge techniques to unravel the pathological mechanisms driving the biological behavior and malignancy of various cancers, with a specific interest in breast and prostate cancers. I leveraged the power of Graph-based Convolutional Neural Networks (GCNs) to integrate cancer risk-associated variants and the three-dimensional structure of the human genome.I earned my Ph.D. in Computational Biology, where my doctoral research was centered around data analysis from Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), with a particular emphasis on the Illumina platform. Throughout my Ph.D. thesis, I gained extensive expertise in all aspects of Illumina sequencing, from library preparation to computational data analysis.
