Passionately providing patient comfort and healthcare support to 6+ patients under the supervision of registered nurses in the Cardiothoracic Stepdown Unit. • Aiding 6+ patients per shift with routine tasks including feeding, bathing, dressing, and ambulation in order to promote fast recovery rates and to increase patient muscle tone and strength• Routinely monitoring and recording patient vitals including blood pressure, temperature, input/output, and blood sugar levels• Carefully transferring and repositioning patients onto beds and chairs using gait belts, patient lifts, and other tools.• Respecting patient\'s privacy and dignity by upholding all hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.• Adapting to the shortage of critical healthcare workers by picking up critical staffing hours on other units in need of extra assistance and support: Acute Care Unit (4 West), Geriatric Medicine Unit (8 Bedtower), Intermediate Surgical Care Unit (ISCU), Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
