Senior Piping Designer with over 25 years experience working on EPC companies involved in the engineering design of Greenfield and numerous Brownfield upstream and downstream projects. Experience in various engineering functions from Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) and executing Detail Design and Engineering (Piping). Thorough knowledge of Equipment layout Development, Piping layout design for all types of equipment such as Columns, Vessels, Exchangers, Tanks, Pumps, Compressors and Piping MTO. Experience project such as Refinery / Petrochemical Chemical / Power Plant / LNG / Pharmaceutical / Industrial / Offshore / Mining/ Oil Sands SAGD and Paper Mill project.CADD PROFICIENCY:• Smart3D • Aveva E3D • PDMS • PDS • Autoplant • Cadworx • Plant 3D • Microstation • Autocad • 3D Laser Scan LFM • Leica TruView • Navisworks • Smart Plant Review PIPING DESIGN:• Under minimal supervision, responsible for piping layouts as well as familiarity with local and international codes and procedures, such as but not limited to ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.1, regulations, material, equipment, fabrication and construction requirements.• Develop design drawings in regards to plant layout utilizing industry safety best-practices. • Participation in engineering meetings to take part in layout studies, develop piping standards, specifications and coordinate design work technical interfaces internally with all related disciplines, consultants and vendors.Key Responsibilities during employment:• Responsible for design development of piping and equipment systems for assigned area.• Developing 3D piping routing and equipment models utilizing 3D CAD Softwares. • Review vendor equipment drawings, data sheets for accuracy,specification conformance,P & ID compliance and installation requirements. • Design nozzle orientation, ladder and platform orientation for towers, tanks and other vessels.• Model access volumes envelope (personel access and material/mechanical handling)maintenance access zone and equipment drop zones.• Run Piping Bulk Material Quantity Reports from the model. • Performed Field walk down to identify tie-in location, lines to demolish, lines to re-use in accordance with P & ID.• Provide onsite solutions, assessment and non-compliance reports.
