Started out life as a SVQ mechanical fitting apprentice in the paper industry, gaining a wide range of experience in multiple manufacturing environments before moving into roles of increasing responsibilities to my current role as the distillery manager at Invergordon distillery with Whyte and Mackay.Moved on from UPM paper to pharma (GSK) then onto Chivas in the whisky industry to gain front line leadership experience as a maintenance manager within a new industry sector. Responsible for management of maintenance activities including a team of 16 multi skilled trades to ensure manufacturing operations run smoothly to ensure plant reliability.Now oversee the manufacturing operations and modernisation of a top tier COMAH 24/7 grain whisky producer, driving performance to meet ever increasing targets whilst focusing on safety, quality and production.Qualifications gained through CPDAsme level 1CompEx 14 responsible personIOSH managing safelyCBM level 1STEM ambassadorWSET Level 2 - Spirits
