ABOUT NOEL GLAENZER

I’m a Reliability and Asset Management Engineer with a strong background in materials science and over eight years of hands-on field experience in rotating equipment and condition-based maintenance. My career began in customer support with Caterpillar, where I travelled across EAME sites assisting with the start-up and maintenance of centrifugal compressors, generators, and gas turbines. After completing a part-time PhD in Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge, I joined the Turbomachinery Products group as a Condition-Based Analyst—leveraging machine data and design criteria to enable component reuse, extend part life, and deliver measurable financial and operational benefits.I later transitioned into the mining industry, where I continue to apply predictive and condition monitoring tools—such as vibration analysis, oil diagnostics, and telemetry—to prioritize interventions and optimize maintenance strategies. More recently, my focus has been on refining preventive maintenance programs to favor condition-based approaches, reducing inefficiencies and improving asset reliability.I combine hands-on operational expertise with a solid research foundation, strong analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement, digital transformation, and sustainable asset performance.
