   As a Grant Coordinator at the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC), I assist counties in securing funding for energy, environmental, and infrastructure projects that strengthen local economies and improve quality of life. My work centers on helping county leaders cut through red tape, identify the right funding opportunities, and build the capacity needed to move projects forward efficiently and effectively.Since stepping into this role, I’ve worked to- Coordinate and prioritize county grant projects by developing detailed timelines, ranking initiatives, and distinguishing between one-time and ongoing responsibilities- Maintain and organize collaborative grant planning tools—including databases, calendars, and resource repositories—to improve efficiency and ensure accurate, accessible information- Establish working relationships with 37 of Minnesota’s 87 counties, directly connecting at least 10 counties with relevant funding opportunities and supporting 1 county’s submission of a $1M+ grant request- Build close partnerships with 52 state agencies, nonprofits, and local government organizations to streamline county access to grant resources and technical assistance- Plan and deliver 1 educational presentation on energy benchmarking and auditing and co-found AMC’s pilot Grant Professionals’ Cohort, leading 3 educational presentations as part of the program- Curate and share educational resources—including plain-language templates, webinar notes, and training materials—to strengthen member engagement with grant writing and compliance processes- Contribute to internal and external communications by drafting RFP templates, documenting webinar insights, and preparing content for AMC publications.Through this work, I help ensure that Minnesota’s counties—regardless of size or geography—can access the resources they need to make common-sense investments in infrastructure, energy efficiency, and community resilience.
