About Noah Derochie
I am a graduate student of City and Regional Planning at The Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. My current focus in city planning includes affordable housing, neighborhood change, and community development. At the intersection of these specializations, I am committed to equitable outcomes in the spatial environments of our communities. As I gain experience in planning theory and GIS technical skills, I am seeking opportunities to translate them into professional practice. My role as a graduate intern at the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) involves reviewing project applications and allocating federal funds to local municipalities throughout the state of Ohio. I work and collaborate within the division of planning at ODOT’s central office to better understand the scope of statewide transportation planning.Community, equity, and people are the keystone of my work in city planning.
