Through a complicated interaction of personal and systemic factors, health and well-being in North America is suboptimal, as evident in skyrocketing rates of preventable chronic diseases which decrease quality of life and place a heavy burden on our health care system. My work is focused on understanding factors that limit wellness and pursuing interventions that help people engage in sustained health behaviour change. As an area leader I leverage project management and interpersonal skills to develop systems and partnerships focused on reducing systematic barriers to healthy practices and to train the next generation of health leaders.
